Get the Wolfs Treasure Halloween Party Game

You need: Some Halloween themed sweets, a wolf mask and claws, a small pot, a small indoor tent and a small quiet alarm-optional.

(The adult who is setting everything up must not let any children see the alarm if it is being used).

Preparation: One person is the wolf and that person must put on the mask and the claws. Then, an adult gets the tent and puts it anywhere in the room your in and the wolf gets inside. This is the wolf’s den. The adult fills the pot with the sweets and places it near the tent (** the adult secretly attaches the alarm to the pot without the children knowing**)

How to Play: The wolf gets in the den and pretends to be asleep. The players each individually have to try and sneak as many sweets, taking it in turns, from the wolf’s treasure pot as they can. When the alarm in the pot goes off (or if you’re doing it without an alarm, if the wolf hears) the wolf can try and get out. If the wolf catches the person sneaking the sweets then you choose a new wolf.

The person must at least sneak five sweets before the next person’s go.

Halloween Colour Hunt Game

by India Stoby

At your Halloween party Halloween Colour Hunt is a perfect game to get everyone up and about.

First give each person a colour then tell them to find little slices of pumpkin all around the house (pumpkin slices that are painted in their given colour – you’ll have to create this beforehand). Once people find their pumpkin slices in their color, they go back to the starting point with all the pieces of the pumpkin and has to put the pieces back together to create the whole pumpkin. The first person to piece up their pumpkin is the winner. Play this game for a spooktackular Halloween..

Screams and Spooks Halloween Party Game

This game Is the opposite of hide and seek. The person who is “it” hides and everyone else tries to find him/her. When someone finds the person who is “it” they hide with them until everyone else has found them. But, when the last person is about to look in their hiding spot, everyone else tries to scare them!

Risk it or Pass it Halloween Party Game

by Hope

You need a few containers (example: buckets, hollowed-out pumpkins, etc. – as long as nobody can see inside when they put their hand in) some sweets and some slime, eyeballs or other NASTY things, and a curtain or secret place to swap.

Set up: Get everybody who is going to do the “Lucky dip” sitting in a straight line. At least one adult needs to supervise the game. The adults must fill the containers with the items. One item in EACH.

How to play: One adult needs to get one container and go to the first child in the line, hold the container in front of them and say, Risk or Pass? The child must decide whether to see what’s inside or pass it on to the next player. If he/she does want to risk it (put their hand in) they obviously put their hand in the container, have a squirm around and pull out the object, whatever they think it is. If it’s one of the Nasty objects, the adult puts the object back in the container, leaves the room and switches the objects in the container if he/she wants. Play continues until all the sweets are found.

Make sure no cheaters see the adult switching!
To make it a bit better, there could be little messages and forfeits as well inside. For example: “You must pass on the next free turn before you risk it again”, “You have to give 5 sweets to the player on your left”, “Congratulations! You get to have 2 bonus sweets!”, etc.

Musical Coffins Halloween Party Game

This Musical Coffins Halloween game is a bit like musical bumps, when the music stops people have to sit down and last one to sit down is out, but in musical coffins you have to lay down and cross your arms around your chest when the music stops.

Make sure there is enough space for everyone to lay down otherwise there may be a few bumped heads.

Glow in the Dark Hide and Seek Halloween Game

(Tuttle, OK.)

We live in the country so this game might not be as easy to play in the city. I get several glow in the dark necklaces. Everyone has to wear a glow in the dark necklace except the person designated “it” (usually the kids like to make my husband “it”). All the children must leave the necklace in plain view, no hiding under their collar or sweatshirt, etc. And it’s just basic Hide in Go Seek but in the dark with glow necklaces!

Spider Web Halloween Game

by Karyn A.
(Bossier City, LA)

Before the party, get two balls of black yarn and tie a plastic spider to each. Divide your guests into two teams and have them line up in a straight line. The object is to be the first team to be tied together by the “spider web”. On the word “go” the first person in the line must pass the spider up one sleeve, across their chest, down the other sleeve to the next person, all the time keeping the string (and spider) in their clothing. The next person does the same thing until every team member is tied together. The first team done wins! This is one of those Halloween games that’s sure to supply lots of laughs.
