Here are more of the coolest kids Christmas crafts to use as icebreaker activities and during the party. You can also use these ideas to keep your kids busy and creative during the holiday season.

*Build an Igloo: Have the kids build their own mini igloos out of sugar cubes and vanilla icing on a cardboard platform. They can also use glitter, crystal studs and sequins to decorate the igloo. For "puffy" snow, use equal parts of shaving cream (non-menthol) and Elmer's glue and spread around the base. You could probably add food coloring too! To preserve the igloo you (or another adult) can cover with shellac and it'll be dry by the party's end.

*Ice Cube Painting: Freeze water in popsicle molds or ice cube trays (you can also add food coloring to the water). Sprinkle Jell-O powder onto paper. Have the children use their colored popsicles or ice cubes (as they begin to melt) to move the Jell-O around. The children love swirling the ice and watching the colors blend. Enjoy!

*Pasta Snowflakes: Prepare white pasta ahead of time by adding a small amount of white paint and some uncooked pasta to a Ziploc baggie and shaking. Draw a Medium sized circle on a piece of sturdy paper. This will be used as a guideline. The children glue the white pasta inside the circle and can even extend outside the circle if they wish. Stress that all snowflakes are different.

*The 'Original' Ice Breaker Activity: Half fill a milk carton with colored water. Place in the freezer and when partially frozen, drop in various small toys. After this is frozen add another color of water to fill the carton. Again, let it freeze partially and add more toys. Children love to chip and melt the ice to find the hidden treasure as the colors blend creating new colors.

*Gingerbread House: Let the kids build their own gingerbread house. Provide graham crackers, icing for glue, jellybeans, gum drops, peppermint candies, M&M's and lots of special Christmas candies. Once they are finished place each house in crisp cellophane wrap gathered up top and tied with a bow. It's a great gift to take home.

*Christmas Cookie Decorating: This is one of the kids' favorite. Prepare various shaped sugar cookies. Have at least 3-4 cookies for each guest. Set out cans of white frosting and various decorations for the cookies, such as colored sugar sprinkles, mini-marshmallows, mini-chocolate chips, Red Hots, etc. Give the kids popsicle sticks to spread the frosting and make sure to prepare boxes for the kids to take their decorated cookies.

*Snowdough Snowmen: Here's a cool recipe for (inedible) snowdough: 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 1 cup water, 2 Tbs. Veg. Oil, 1 Tbs. Cream of tartar, 1/3 cup silver glitter, 1/4 cup white powdered tempera paint. Mix all ingredients together. Cook over medium heat, stirring until ball is formed. Knead dough until cool. Provide bowls with bits of cloth, paper, beads, pipe cleaners, felt, etc. Have the guests sculpt their own snowdough snowman and decorate it. You can also provide snowflake, snowman and other winter cookie cutters for the kids to experiment with.

*Snow Globes: You will need little jars (possibly baby food jars). Fill the jar almost to the top with water and stir in a few drops of glycerin (sold at most pharmacies) and 1/2 a teaspoon of glitter, star and moon confetti. What the glycerin does is increase the density of the water and causes the glitter to fall much slower. Now the kids have a great glitter snow globe that can be added to their party favor pack.

*Decorating Favor Bags: Get the kids to make their own favor bags. Provide small brown lunch bags and using clean cookie cutters cut out sponges in the shape of the cutters! The kids dip the sponges in paint and decorate their bags. You can also make a snowflake print out of a bell pepper cut in half. Or, you can have the kids finger paint designs onto their bags with green and red paint. Another idea is to dip shaped cookie cutters in PVA glue, make a print and sprinkle with glitter.

*Reindeer Antlers: The kids can make their own reindeer antlers (they will need an adult to help out). For this project you will need red construction paper, brown construction paper, scissors and a stapler. Cut out a band of red construction paper (about 2.5 inches wide). Measure the child’s head and then staple so that it fits snuggly onto their head (but not too snug, enough to stay and enough to be able to take off). Have the kids trace both of their hands onto the brown construction paper and let them cut their hands out (these will be the antlers). Then staple a hand to each side of the head to the red band. This is a headband that looks like the kid’s have antlers.

*Handprint Christmas Tree: For this craft you’ll need colored paper, markers, glitter, decorations, glue and scissors. Have the kids trace their hands on green paper (they will need at least 8 handprints to create the branches of the tree (Tip: fold the green paper or hold a few papers on top of each other, so that when you are cutting the handprint out – you will get a few rather than one).

Have them cut out a trunk from black or brown paper and that should be the first thing to glue down on a bigger piece of colored paper.

Before they start gluing the tree leaves, have them arrange the handprints first to create the tree, then glue them down. Have them cut stars out and glue to the top of the tree. Let them decorate the tree however they’d like.
